Our festival is a two-day event: School Visit Day and Festival Day.
School Visit Day takes place on Friday, Nov 14. Authors and illustrators donate their time to visit schools throughout Kitsap County, with an emphasis on Title One Schools. GRAND SPONSORS make School Visit Day possible. They help us cover author and illustrator travel expenses (hotel, ferry, and meals.) For a few authors this will also include airfare and car rental.
Grand Sponsors will be listed on our website, posters and advertising. Their names will be displayed at the festival and on all programming, including bookmarks that are given out at school visits. They can bring their families for early, VIP entry on Festival Day.

Book Angels - $1,000-$2,500
On School Visit Day, students throughout Kitsap County will attend assemblies at their schools where they will meet authors and illustrators. If the school is Title One, then each student attending the assembly will get a free book. Donations from BOOK ANGELS will make this possible. Last year we were able to donate 784 books!

If you become a BOOK ANGEL, your name will appear on bookmarks that accompany the donated books. Your name will also appear on our website.

Book Festival Friends
There are so many smaller expenses, like feeding the librarians who volunteer their time during the festival, to creating posters to help spread the word. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated. Your name will appear on our website and we will be very grateful to you.​
